Abstract: APPLICATION OF LIMITING LOAD METHOD IN STRESS ANALYSIS SIX IMPORTANT IS- SUES ABOUT STRESS ANALYSIS DESIGN FOR PRESSURE VESSELS （ 1V ） Abstract： There are stress classification method and plastic limiting load method in stress analy- sis. Two kinds of failure types caused by static strength and shakedown shall be considered.This paper compares the differences of the two analy- sis methods in judging static strength and shake- down problems. Compared with stress classifica- tion method, limiting load method solves the static strength problem and can acquire more economic load.However,the shakedown problem shall be further checked.
